Unesco Chair Con-E-Ect join forces with EU Commissioner Christos Stylianides

On Monday, May 7, 2018, following the invitation of the UNESCO Con-E-Ect Chairholder, Prof. D. Emmanouloudis, the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Christos Stylianidis visited the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology, where he spoke in a Senate open session. Later, the Commissioner was presented with an award by the Institute for his contribution to European and global issues of his jurisdiction. On the afternoon of the same day, the Commissioner addressed the citizens of Kavala and the neighboring cities, in an event that took place in a central city hotel. This event was co-organized by the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology and the Delegation of the European Commission in Athens, under the program "Citizens Dialogue" that features open discussions with European Commissioners in several cities of the Member States of the Union, and for issues of all portfolios. In the margins of this visit, the Director of the Chair had an extensive discussion with the Commissioner for finding ways to implement joint actions and initiatives
