International Conference on Climate Change & Forestry
George Zaimes participated at the International Conference on Climate Change and Forestry (ICCCF 2019), that was hosted by the Foresters’ Association of Turkey (FAOT) in Beldibi/Antalya, TURKEY, from 13th-14th November, 2019. More than 100 delegates, including key opinion leaders and scientists from the disciplines of forestry, climate change, and related fields, presented the recent advances on the topic of forestry and climate change. George presented “Riparian Areas as a Tool to Mitigate Climate Change Impacts in Urban Settings: The Case Study of Drama City, Greece.” This is part of the project that is funded by the European Regional Development Fund in the framework of the implementation of the “Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama” of the R.O.P. A.M.T. 2014-2020. UNESCO Chair Con-E-Ect is participating in this project.
